The first two weeks of the holidays we’ll organize an intercontinental trip. During this trip, the Study Tour will visit nice buildings and new projects. Besides the study related activities, there will be enough to enjoy ourselves with cultural activities and don’t forget the parties in the evening!
During the Monthly Member Drinks in February the destination will be revealed and the possibility to enroll will be opened.
Before hearing the stories of the great trip of last year, I already thought the Study Tour should be a really nice trip. The trip concludes traveling, nice buildings, and new projects. Together with the group, it is going to be a really nice trip. As chairman, I will lead the meetings and make sure we meet the deadlines. I’m sure we are going to organize a very nice trip!"
After spending a few years in Delft and finishing my bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering last year, I am really looking forward to be an active member of U- Base. By organizing this trip next summer, I am hoping to combine fun and study activities and have a nice time with everyone joining this year’s trip. This upcoming year I will be responsible for administration and communication of the committee. But above all: we will all be responsible for making sure you will have a summer to remember!"
Since the first time that I heard about the U-Base Study Tour, I thought it would be an amazing opportunity to meet new people and knowing a new country. What a great opportunity, if it’s done among friends who in the future will be colleagues. As treasurer my main responsibilities are keeping track on all funds invested and make sure of seizing it as much as it’s possible."
What better way to finish up my master degree than by going on an international study trip and exploring the civil engineering philosophy on the other side of the world. This year I will be responsible to gain as much revenues as possible to make sure we can both visit the engineering firms and enjoy the local activities on budget. Hope to see you all this summer!"
During my bachelor at the TU Delft I spent a semester in Stockholm. After working at a structural engineering firm for a year, I started doing my masters of Structural Engineering, specialising in Structural Mechanics. I joined the study tour because I like organising trips and really enjoy the activities and meetings with my fellow committee members. I am looking forward to spending two weeks abroad with a group of like-minded people combining fun activities and going out, with visiting amazing structural engineering projects. Differences in cultures, especially in the way of tackling different structural engineering problems in different parts of the world interest me. Organising has been a lot fun already, so I can’t wait for this exciting trip to happen!!"

Last summer I went to the Study Tour to China with U-Base. I must say it was one of the best experiences of my life. Having that awesome experience in mind, I decided to join in on the fun and help organise the next study tour. A Study Tour is the perfect mix of company and site visits along with cultural activities and nightlife. My goal is to make sure that the next study tour becomes just that if not more!"
This year I will be the QQ of the study tour. I am very enthusiastic to help the committee with organizing the Study Tour 2018. With this group, we can achieve to organize a great trip. Coming months we will work together to organize an amazing study tour. This will be a trip you will absolutely don’t want to miss!"
