When I became a member of U-BASE, I already wanted to become a member of a committee. Which one, I wasn’t sure of, but I wanted to organize something totally new; an activity for which you can’t just follow the script of last year. So I decided to become a member of the Study Tour Committee! Our committee is organizing the most amazing, fascinating, incredible, marvelous, unbelievable and wonderful study trip, like you have never seen before!"
Student organisations are perfect to interact, socialise and create new experiences. It was therefore important for me to work with U-BASE and use my experiences and organisational skills to plan this year’s study tour! With new and exciting opportunities to travel, learn and meet some kick-ass people, I hope to help the Study Tour committee to make this year’s trip one of the best so far!"
After arriving at TU Delft, I wanted to be part of a student organization. Lucky for me, I stumbled upon U-BASE, which had many committees in different areas. After hearing about the study tour committee, joining it was a no-brainer. Besides getting to know a whole new culture and country along with its engineering projects, I’ll make new friends and meet new people along the way. As the treasurer of the study tour committee, I will keep track on all the funds invested in our trip while trying to maximize the return of our investment."
After finishing my Bachelor’s degree here in Delft last year, I decided that I wanted to do something extra. Besides that, I’m always eager to expand my network with people and companies from all over the world. Joining the Study Tour committee of U-BASE was the perfect opportunity for me. This year’s edition, I’m the one who is responsible for the revenues. I’ll make sure that you’ll have an unforgettable experience for an attractive price. Can’t wait to see you this summer!"
When I heard that U-BASE has a study tour committee, I knew I had to be part of this because it combined 2 things I love the most: traveling and civil engineering. I will be working on the activities section of this committee, so I will be on the hunt for civil engineering projects and cool cultural activities in our top secret travel destination. We will plan a trip that can show you what civil engineering and life look like in the top secret destination."
“The world is a book and those who do not travel read only a page”. Reading just one page will not give you the sense of what is expected to come next and neither the opportunity to be intrigued and curious
about the future. I just joined U-BASE but I’m extremely happy to be a part of this committee and
hoping to have an amazing trip planned for you guys."
Together with Geert, I will make sure that the Study Tour Committee keeps their focus on organising an amazing study trip for U! The last couple of years I have visited four continents, and I think I can never get enough of traveling. I am looking forward to advising and working together with our new enthusiastic Committee!"
Drinking beers in the BASE, reading, playing darts in the BASE, festivals
Together with Lisa we will be the QQs of this year’s Study Tour! We will support the committee with organising the trip to the -unknown- destination. I am thrilled to be part of it since last year’s trip went to Japan and proved to be memorable! I am not much of a traveler -outside of Europe- myself, but this year will compensate for that!"
