"Bridge the Gap" is a European non-profit platform that aims to accelerate the transition from traditional construction towards circular and CO2-saving building methods. Part of the platform is a series of webinars, where we will focus on the barriers that hinder the adaptation of modern methods of construction and discuss scenarios to overcome these.

During this first webinar, we will share details about the background and objective of Bridge the Gap with introductions from Carel van Houte, Kasper Guldager Jensen (Home.Earth), Daniel Hall (TuD), and Christian Thuesen (DTU).

Bridge the Gap aims to collaborate closely with all stakeholders in the real estate industry. Participants will be invited to share their thoughts on what is needed to help the industry forward.

Future webinars will focus on related topics such as; ‘What is the impact of circularity on real estate development’; ‘How to structure project warranties when using offsite construction’; or ‘How can the EU Taxonomy create momentum for the industry’.

Bridge the Gap will lead to a public website in 2024, where we will make new building technologies in Europe easy to find and provide in-depth information about their implementation and use.

The project is a collaboration between Home.Earth, the Delft University of Technology, and the Technical University of Denmark, and is supported by a grant from the Aase og Ejnar Danielsens Fond.

When? Thursday 30th of March 15:00 - 16:30 (online)
