Bouwen met Staal

Steel. You encounter it almost daily in the structure and finishing of buildings,
bridges, and lock gates. The knowledge institute Bouwen met Staal (Constructing
with Steel) is committed to the broad and responsible use of steel in construction. It
offers a wide range of activities in the areas of steel promotion, consultancy,
lobbying, research and knowledge transfer. These activities aim to support various
disciplines within the construction industry in the application of steel. Focus is on the
entire value chain: from clients, designers, structural engineers, and contractors, to
steel producers and suppliers.
For students, Bouwen met Staal offers a free trial subscription to the trade journal of
the same name, a student membership, and the student program at National Steel
Construction Day. For graduates, there is the StudentenSTAALprijs (Student Steel
Award), with winners from Delft University of Technology every year. The association
currently has approximately 450 corporate members and 20 Gold Members, and also
has nearly a thousand individual members.
