On November 6th, there is an excursion with KIVI Bouw to the education facility Laan op Zuid.
The Laan op Zuid education facility was designed by cepezed in collaboration with IMd Consulting Engineers for two schools that will be stacked on top of each other. The building mainly consists of a steel frame with hollow-core slabs, combined with a hybrid steel-concrete core for stability. The schools are organized in a compact building with a clear routing. This routing is emphasized by a central staggered atrium that visually connects the schools. The corners are opened up and equipped with gardens, while the rooftops offer space for sports and recreation.
By November 6th, the main load-bearing structure is expected to be almost at full height, and façade and finishing works will already have started. Before visiting the site, a presentation will be given at the IMd office by both the architect and the structural engineer of this project.

16:00 conclusion at the construction site. Participants can optionally end the day individually in the surrounding area (Wilhelminapier and Katendrecht are just around the corner).
