The Witteveen+Bos Thesis Prize is a great opportunity for students to
showcase their talents to the world. An expert jury selects two winners: one
for the best best higher professional education (hbo) thesis and one for the
student with the best university (wo) thesis. Does your thesis match this year’s

Each edition of the Witteveen+Bos Thesis Prize will focus on one of our sustainable
design principles. This year’s theme is: participatory design.
Participatory design means designing with the environment, not just for it. Actively
involving the environment in the design process results in wider support, a design
that is better suited to the stakeholders wishes, and greater added social value.
What can you win?
- € 3,000 in cash;
- Witteveen+Bos’s Sustainable Design Certificate.
The cash prize can be used to invest in your personal development.
For example a course of study, a training course, a conference, project
development, or the further exploration of participatory design.
