A Professor at the Faculty of Civil Engineering and Geosciences of Delft University of Technology, who has been granted an honorable discharge effective August 12, 2025, intends to deliver a farewell address entitled: 'Just another brick in the wall'

Location: Aula (Auditorium/3rd floor), Mekelweg 5, Delft
The Rector Magnificus of Delft University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ir. H. Bijl, hereby invites you to attend this academic ceremony. After the address is delivered, you can offer your congratulations to one of the most influential professors of TU Delft.
Professors from TU Delft and other universities are also welcome to join the procession. To this end, they must be present in Committee Room 3 (Aula/2nd floor) no later than 14:30. It is appreciated if the professors wear their university gown/cap.
Prior to the farewell address, a farewell symposium for Prof. Rots will take place in the Frans van Hasselt Room in the TU Delft Aula, commencing at 09:15 (including lunch). Further information about the symposium can be found via this link: programme farewell symposium.pdf
